Dear SLCA Parents & Guardians,

I would like to start by thanking God for another wonderful year at St. Leo Catholic Academy. We have survived the last few years with God first and as a school community. Time has gone by so quickly; I can’t believe it has been six years since I joined the St. Leo community. It has been a blessing and an amazing journey. It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that come September, I will not be the Principal of the Academy. This was not an easy decision for me. Leaving the Academy will be very difficult and heartbreaking, but I have always trusted God’s journey for me, the same one that placed me here at such a great school. St. Leo is a place where I have met so many wonderful families and established relationships and bonds that I will carry with me for a lifetime. 

The Board of Directors is working actively with the Diocese of Brooklyn to find a replacement
and I have great trust that they will do so soon.

 I want to thank you for your constant support, encouragement, and love. I will miss you all very much, but know that I will always be a part of St. Leo Catholic Academy and will continue to pray for the best for the Academy. God bless.

Estimados padres y tutores de SLCA,

Me gustaría comenzar agradeciendo a Dios por otro año maravilloso en la Academia Católica St. Leo. Hemos sobrevivido los últimos años con Dios primero y como comunidad escolar. El tiempo ha pasado tan rápido; No puedo creer que hayan pasado seis años desde que me uní a la comunidad de St. Leo. Ha sido una bendición y un viaje increíble. Es con gran pesar que comparto la noticia de que, en septiembre, no seré el director de la Academia. Esta no fue una decisión fácil para mí. Dejar la Academia será muy difícil y desgarrador, pero siempre he confiado en el camino de Dios para mí, el mismo que me colocó aquí en tan gran escuela. St. Leo es un lugar donde he conocido a tantas familias maravillosas y he establecido relaciones y lazos que llevaré conmigo toda la vida.

La Junta Directiva está trabajando activamente con la Diócesis de Brooklyn para encontrar un reemplazo y tengo mucha confianza en que lo harán pronto.

Quiero agradecerles por su constante apoyo, aliento y amor. Los extrañaré mucho a todos, pero sepan que siempre seré parte de la Academia Católica St. Leo y continuaré orando por lo mejor para la Academia. Dios los bendiga.
